The studio
Architecture rooted in community and craft.
ZFA Architects is a Western Cape studio practising across civic, residential and public architecture.
We work on projects that matter to the places they serve — a stadium for a township, a terminal that moves thousands, homes that give families dignity, and learning spaces for the next generation. Whatever the scale, we bring the same rigour, care and clarity of thought.
The practice is led by a Professional Senior Architectural Technologist registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), ensuring every project meets the highest professional and statutory standards.
What guides us
Our values
Context first
Every project begins with its place — the climate, the community and the constraints that make it singular.
Built to last
We design with durable, honest materials and detailing that ages gracefully and serves for decades.
Quietly generous
Good architecture serves the people who use it. We design for dignity, comfort and everyday life.
